Kaelin

So, I am a Lazy Natural (and proud) which means that I do just enough to keep my hair from hating me (breaking off). I use this as a disclaimer to let you know that I do not also stick to this regimen.

Sierra:

I wash my hair with shampoo only once or twice a month using the Shea Moisture products (rotating between the types to find my favorite).I cowash my hair with a concoction of moisturizing conditioners and amla oil every 2-3 days. After my cowash, I apply either coconut oil or vitamin e oil to my scalp and apply it to my strands as I detangle. Finally, I slather my hair in African Shea butter. Whenever my hair is unbearably dry, I section my hair and apply the Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol creme and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Occasionally (when I have the time and funds) I deep condition with overnight henna treatments.

Matisyn:

  • Shea Moisture Smoothie and Soufflé.
  • Pink Moisturizer
  • Tea Tree Oil
  • Ultimate Herbal Oil

Jasmine:

I get my hair done every two weeks at Saks on Main in Anderson SC. My beautician is Stephanie Jones and she is wonderful!! She uses design essentials products on my hair and I wrap my hair every night and sleep on a satin pillowcase. On the off week that I don't get my hair done I usually try and keep it glossy and silky by using design essentials reflections liquid shine. The liquid shine really does the job and adds moisture and silk by into the hair.

Dia:

On wash day I typically use Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner by OGX Beauty. I love the way it smells and my hair feels soft and moisturized afterwards. I then use just about any Aussie brand rinse out conditioner but my favorite is the 3 Minute Miracle conditioner. I like to use Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow and Restore Leave-In. I love Kuza Natural's Jamaican Black Castor Oil (Extra Dark) . I HATE shrinkage and I find it hard to manipulate my hair when it's wet so I either blow dry it or sit under the drying. I like to use Tresemme Thermal Creation Heat Protectant. And last but not least...blessed be the name of Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel.

Jackson:

God, here’s the thing—I’m terrible at maintenance. I can barely keep the silk cap on my head through the night. I shampoo about twice a month with John Frieda Brilliant Brunette, not because it’s particularly good for my hair, but because it smells like a woman I’d like to marry. When I was rich, I’d use Organix Argan Oil Conditioner. Now that I’ve accrued a crippling amount of debt in student loans, I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. I go through about one large bottle every two weeks. I slather it on thick, comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb, rinse and then apply again. Then I just leave it in. Because who needs a Leave-In Conditioner when you can just leave in your conditioner? Also doubles as perfume.
